Gymstar brings great results for end of season
Phillip Island Gymnastics Club news.
It was another successful competition for YMCA Phillip Island Gymnastics Club, with Gymstar Level 6 at BTYC Gymnastics Club, competition no.2.
Two teams placed first and second in their second competition of the season.
The competition was held at BTYC Gymnastics Club in Doncaster on September 18th, with the gymnasts competing against clubs from across the state.
The YMCA Phillip Island Diamonds Level 6 team clinched victory in the team competition, securing first place all around.
Second place was awarded to the YMCA Phillip Island Pearls.
Congratulations to the girls for their outstanding individual all-around results, with Saoirse taking first place, Amellia in second place, Evie in fourth place, and Willow in fifth place.
Apparatus results were as follows:
Vault: Willow 2nd, Amellia 3rd, Evie 5th, Saiorse 6th.
Bars: Saiorse 1st, Amellia 2nd, Rori 4th, Evie 5th.
Beam: Amellia 1st, Willow 2nd, Evie 4th, Miranda 5th.
Floor: Rori 4th, Willow 5th, Amellia 6th.
PBars: Saiorse 1st, Evie and Alexis 3rd, Amellia 4th, Willow 5th, Rori and Miranda 6th.
Rings: Saiorse 1st, Evie 2nd, Amellia 3rd, Miranda 4th, Alexis 5th, Willow 6th.

Highett Youth Gymnastics Club, competition no.4
This weekend saw the conclusion of the gymnastics competition season for our Gymstar level 5 team.
The girls have shown enormous growth in both skill and mindset over the course of the year.
They received an additional award in this competition for sportsmanship, being the club to have shown the highest level of support for one another and other teams.
Congratulations on a fantastic competition season girls!
I cannot wait to see what next year brings.
Team results: Team Pearl 5th place overall and Team Opal 4th place overall.
