Across Australia, book lovers celebrated their local bookshops on October 3.
Last Saturday, book lovers across the country celebrated their local bookshop.
The island is blessed with a fabulous book stop – Turn the Page in Thompson Avenue in Cowes. The shop is expertly run by Lois Gaskin, who is also a member of the Island Story Gatherers, the group that presents the Phillip Island Festival of Stories.
This year’s event was a victim of Covid restrictions, but to keep the literary juices flowing the Story Gatherers have run a series of online events with authors.
