Community consultation on the draft Statement of Planning Policy (SPP) will run until Friday, April 29.

Community consultation on the draft Statement of Planning Policy (SPP) will run until Friday, April 29.

Submissions must be lodged through the Engage Victoria platform at engage.vic.gov.au/project/distinctive-areas-and-landscapes-program/page/bass-coast by 5pm that day.

Where a submitter is unable to lodge a submission online, contact the DELWP Customer Service Centre on 136 186 (select option 6).

The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) has prepared the draft Bass Coast SPP in with the local community, Bass Coast Shire and the Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Cooperation.

Following the close of submissions, DELWP will review all submissions and advise the Minister for Planning on the outcomes of public consultation.

Once the final Bass Coast SPP is approved, it will come into effect immediately, implemented into the Bass Coast Planning Scheme. The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal will also be required to consider the Bass Coast SPP.

To see how the proposed town boundaries may affect your property, go to the interactive mapping tool (mapshare.vic.gov.au/vicplan/).
