Heading for Covid normal

Premier Daniel Andrews just announced metropolitan Melbourne will move out of lockdown and into Step Three from 11.59pm tomorrow night.

While this will see retail and hospitality reopen, the 25 km limit will remain in place, as will the "ring of steel" between Melbourne and regional Victoria.

If numbers remain low, from November 8 the 25 km limit will be removed, restrictions will move in line with those of regional Victoria and Melburnians will once again be able to travel across the state.

Which means we can expect to see visitors from Melbourne returning to Phillip Island, San Remo and across Bass Coast, which will be welcome news to our local businesses.

The news comes after Victoria recorded its first day of zero cases since June.

What an incredible effort!

The full statement from the Premier is available on the DHHS website.
