Inner Wheel keeps on turning
The Inner Wheel Club of Phillip Island proudly celebrated 30 years of service to the community and friendship during their Changeover Luncheon.
The Inner Wheel Club of Phillip Island proudly celebrated 30 years of service to the community and friendship during their Changeover Luncheon at The Palms at Kaloha on July 15.
Forty members and guests enjoyed a delicious lunch and reminisced on dozens of fun and meaningful occasions over the past 30 years.
Outgoing President Julie Holloway reported on an enjoyable year at the helm of the club, which although very small in numbers, always manages to contribute to a variety of local, regional, national and international important projects.
In 2021-2022, the club raises funds for Free 3D Hands, MS Research, NSW flood relief, the Ukraine war effort, Cowes Primary School, and Cord Blood Research, which is the core fundraising project for Inner Wheel Australia.



Charter Member, Pat Taylor spoke of the story behind the inception of the club 30 years ago, and how, although the club’s member numbers have remained small over the years, the objects of Inner Wheel, being true friendship, fostering international understanding, and providing service to the community have held it in good stead.
Inner Wheel Australia President, Lynne Devine welcomed incoming Club President Loorain Hope to the position. Loorain welcomed her new committee and spoke of looking forward to a fun filled, active year with the club hoping to participate in many more fundraising activities and friendship gatherings.
