Sarah Maclaine’s Jazz n Champagne appearing on Sunday March 19 at the Phillip Island Bowling Club, starting at 2pm.

This month’s Sunday Jazz concert on March 19, features Sarah Maclaine’s Jazz n Champagne.

The concert, at the Phillip Island bowling club in Dunsmore Road, Cowes, runs from 2pm – 4.15pm.

March 19 is also Bendigo Bank Appreciation Day and an opportunity to say thanks for supporting  our local jazz scene since day one. 

“Bendigo Bank has been involved in projects varying from production of our newsletter to purchase of a waterproof trailer to store our sound equipment and transport it to gigs,” said Club member Jill Boyce.

“A massive thanks to Bendigo Bank.”

Providing the day’s entertainment will be the glamorous and talented Sarah Maclaine who is in demand for appearances at festivals and corporate events.

The backing group is led by two musos well-known to Phillip Island audiences, Todd Sidney on keyboards and Ron Anderson on sax and flute. They will be joined by Ivan Rosa on bass and Lachlan Wallace on drums.

Join the Jazz Club at the Phillip Island Bowling Club, 40 Dunsmore Road, Cowes at 2pm. Entry is $20 for members and $25 for visitors.

Save the date

The Jazz Extravaganza Day is on Sunday April 16, an all-day event commencing at 10am and concluding at 5pm. Entry is $35 which includes a BBQ lunch.

Bands appearing will be The Skiffle Party, Dan Bolton and Friends and Andrew Nolte Dixieland Band. This event will be jointly sponsored by Philip Island Jazz and Bass Coast Shire Council.
