Jazz Club's got the blues

The first Phillip Island Jazz Club show for 2024 sees the return of the Peter Gaudion's Blues Express.

This is the first time the group has played on the island for 10 years.

This brilliant group contains some of the most sought after musos in Australia.

Peter Gaudion on trumpet and vocals has played with The Syncopators since day one.

Ash Gaudion on alto sax and vocals, is a charismatic and talented musician who has been immersed in the world of jazz and blues from a young age. His passion for music shines through in his soulful saxophone playing and captivating vocals.

Bob Sedergreen on keyboards has been described as the world's best blues pianist. His musical abilities find him leading and working with a plethora of diverse ensembles and groups. Bob is also a prolific writer of jazz tunes.

James Clark plays bass with The Syncopators and Shuffle Club and he is much sought after for gigs.

Rod Gilbert is a regular drummer with the Syncopators and Shuffle club. His version of "Now You Have Jazz" from the film High Society is worth a listen on its own.

The vocalist for the afternoon will be Jacki Gaudion who is a quality vocalist who performs with many bands in Melbourne.

The event is expected to be popular, so to avoid missing out, book your spot.

Tickets are $20 for members and $25 for guests.

The entertainment commences at 2pm and concludes at 4.30pm, at Phillip Island Bowling Club, 40 Dunsmore Road, Cowes.
