The Phillip Island Jazz Club presents an afternoon of cool jazz and swingin’ blues on Sunday December 18 at the Phillip Island Bowling Club.
The Jackson Combo is appearing from 2pm, featuring virtuoso and internationally acclaimed pianist and Hammond organ Player, Jon Wade, who is also a Bass Coast local.
Jon has performed with a huge range of artists here in Australia, the UK and across Europe. Including The National Youth Orchestra UK, Australian Jazz legend George Golla (Trio), Ed Wilson band (aka Daly Wilson Band) and as musical director and piano player for rock and pop 70s superstar, Kiki Dee.
Jon is joined by Jeff Mead on sax, Nick Mierisch on drums and band leader, singer and percussionist, Peter Jackson. The group will showcase the songs of Ella Fitzgerald, Mel Torme, Cleo Laine, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, BB King and Louis Jordan and many others.
