Ocean Reach Brewing and the Phillip Island Winery have teamed up to create a feel-good 'Kinetic' beer and bubbles with 100% of profits being donated to fellow Phillip Island producer Free 3D Hands.
Free 3D Hands develops and supplies free 3D assistive devices to people in need worldwide. Last year Ocean Reach Brewing raised $22,401 for their Bionic arm, and this year we are reaching even higher in an effort to raise awareness and funds for their latest device assistive device Kinetic. Free 3D Hands' latest prototype Kinetic works on a muscular basis through elbow motion, it is light [300g], durable, and suitable for anyone on the planet. Free 3D Hands design is based on low-cost consumer parts [$15 in materials] opening up a pathway for individuals even to repair their own devices.
In keeping with Mat Bowtell’s [founder of Free 3D Hands] enthusiasm for creating “a beer so hoppy it could punch you in the face” for 2023, Ocean Reach will be brewing Kinetic Hazy IPA sitting at 6.25 per cent [Mat’s lucky numbers]. This feel-good beer will be a ripper of an IPA using US hops for that fresh hit! 100 per cent of the profits will be donated to Free 3D Hands to help develop their Kinetic Arm.
This year is going to be even bigger than before! Fellow local producers, Phillip Island Winery, are joining us for this very worthy cause with their Kinetic Sparkling. They have generously offered their stunning venue for the fundraising event, which will be held on Friday March 17, as well as the donation of profits from their sparkling. Further donations, raffles and auctions will also take place on the night.
