Ladbrokes Stony Creek Cup Day returns
Stony Creek Racing Club (SCRC) is set to deliver an unforgettable day of racing, entertainment and family fun
Stony Creek Racing Club (SCRC) is set to deliver an unforgettable day of racing, entertainment and family fun at the highly anticipated Ladbrokes Stony Creek Cup Day on Sunday March 8, over the Labour Day long weekend.
Widely regarded as one of the standout events on the Victorian racing calendar, Cup Day offers something for everyone, with live music, a variety of food trucks, and family-friendly entertainment, ensuring a fun-filled day both on and off the track.
Racegoers can bring their own picnic and relax on the lawns or choose from a range of packages available, including reserved picnic tables with umbrellas, beanbags, and private marquees.
For an all-inclusive option, the Furlong Party Marquee offers food, drinks and a vibrant trackside atmosphere, making it one of the most popular ways to enjoy the day.
Kids will be kept entertained all day with a range of supervised activities, including DS Sports, Little Ryders pony rides, face painting, and the ever-popular JockeyCam VR experience.
The much-loved Fashions on the Field competition also returns, with a strong local focus and local-only categories, celebrating style, creativity and flair.
On the track, SCRC CEO Jason Benbow said the club has enjoyed a fantastic season so far, with the racing surface receiving praise from across the industry.
"We've had a great season so far, and industry participants - including trainers, jockeys and owners - have been unanimous in their praise of the current track conditions," Jason said.
"The surface has provided every horse with an equal opportunity, with winners emerging from all parts of the track. It's incredibly pleasing and a real credit to the work that goes into preparing the track."
Following a successful launch last year, the club is also excited to continue its "King and Queen of the Creek" tradition in 2026.
It was introduced to recognise the leading male and female jockeys across the season. The initiative was well received in its first year and is set to become a lasting feature of the Stony Creek racing calendar.
Tickets are just $20 for adults, $15 concession, and kids are free. There are also a range of packages and bus services to make getting to and from the track easy and stress-free.
Stony Creek Racing Club, located in scenic South Gippsland, is renowned for bringing together the community, racegoers, and holidaymakers alike.
