Last game of season for U10 Blues
And what a great season it has been.
10 Blue
The Blue pups had a plan to outperform the Parrots and make an improvement on the last time they played them, and they really did succeed in every way.
The Doggies were fast and first to the ball in almost every contest.
The pup’s tackling was such that the Parrots found it difficult to move the ball forward.
The Blue pups managed to keep control and stay composed the entire match.
The brilliant performance warranted a very boisterous team anthem to be sung while in keeping up this team’s “tradition” of soaking the captain with the remaining contents of their water bottles.
The match was an example of how far the team has come this season.
The Doggies family are so proud of their progress, not just in the way of skill performance but also, and more importantly, in confidence, mental toughness, and resilience.
Thank you to team manager Mel Naismith for all her hard work, and Coach Luke Marshal who makes a point of mentioning each and every team member after every game to let them know that he noticed their efforts and gives them the recognition and encouragement to keep pushing themselves week after week.
The indomitable spirit that comes from being part of a team and striving to achieve your goals is what Under 10s is really all about.
And what a great season it has been.
