Phillip Island Dance Studio leapt back on stage recently, performing the ballet Cinderella along with jazz and contemporary dance pieces.

Stepping on to stage for the first time saw the Kinder class performing “The Hungry Caterpillar”.

The excitement and joy of performing two shows at the Wonthaggi Union Arts Centre to an audience was a wonderful reward for the students who endured 368 days of the studio being closed since the start of the pandemic.

The families and students have worked hard online and seen many timetable changes to keep the students dancing through lockdowns and Covid safe settings.

“Our students’ resilience and hard work shone through on stage with beaming smiles, team work and a pure love of dance, movement and performance,” said Rowena Campbell, who runs the popular dance school.

Classes resume

Classes for 2022 resume on January 31.

The school offers fun, creative qualified dance tuition with age appropriate and safe dance practices for both the recreational and students wanting to pursue dance vocationally.

Classes are held in Cowes at 223 Settlement Road.

Phillip Island Dance Studio is a family friendly and non-competitive school proudly teaching students of Bass Coast for 21 years.
