Lions supporting kids cancer research

The success of a recent Wonthaggi Bunnings bbq has enabled the San Remo/Newhaven Lions club to allocate $600 to the “Kids Cancer Research Fund”.

They intend adding to this figure with a sausage sizzle at the San Remo Foreshore this Saturday. Why not drop by on Saturday, buy one of their delicious Lions sausages, have a chat to the friendly members and support this worthy cause.

“We are hoping to push the $600 closer to $1000 by day’s end,” said club president Michael Newton.

“The club would also like to extend special thanks to Sally Weir from Rhyll and Mark Kennedy from Newhaven who volunteered their time cooking and serving at the Bunnings bbq.

“Their help was greatly appreciated.”

The club would welcome anyone willing to support this worthy cause by lending a hand this Saturday at San Remo.
