Local hotels vying for state’s top prizes
The Westernport Hotel and the San Remo Hotel Motel are both finalists in this year’s AHA State Awards.
Congratulations to the Westernport Hotel and the San Remo Hotel Motel who are both finalists in this year’s AHA State Awards.
The awards recognise the achievements of hotels and pubs across the state and are hosted by the Australian Hotels Association (Victoria).
The Westernport is a finalist in the Best Family Dining and Best Live Entertainment categories, while the San Remo Hotel Motel is competing to win the Best Pub Bar and Best Outdoor Experience in a regional area.
The Middle Hotel at Korumburra, run by Ben Fisher and Elyse Pratt (who formerly ran the San Remo Hotel) is a finalist in nine categories, including Local Legend (Ben) and Chef of the Year (Mark Smith).
The winners in the 40 award categories will be announced at a ceremony on May 15 at Palladium at Crown in Melbourne.
