Women in Agriculture

Applications are open for the Women on Agricultural Boards 2026 program, an initiative dedicated to empowering women in agriculture to step into governance and leadership roles across the sector. 

Applications are open to all women in agriculture, including early- to mid-career professionals, farmers, agribusiness employees, and those engaged in advocacy or community leadership. 

Applications close September 30. Program commences in January 2026.

Healthy Communities grants

Applications are open for VicHealth's Growing Healthy Communities grants.

The funding aims to support young people from diverse and under-represented backgrounds, including those in regional communities, with a focus on addressing systemic barriers to participation and wellbeing.

Funding is available in two tiers: Tier 1: $10,000 – $50,000. Tier 2: $50,001 – $150,000.

Sporting, community, cultural, recreational, creative, some local government and other not-for-profit organisations are eligible to apply. Applications close October 30.

Kids sport support

Another round of the Get Active Kids Voucher Program opens next month.

Clubs and sporting organisations can register as a provider, which allows families to sign up their kids by using the voucher up front and reducing out-of-pocket expenses. 

Eligible families with health care or other concession cards will be able to apply for vouchers of up to $200 per child ─ families apply for the vouchers online before redeeming them at an activity provider like a local sporting club.

The program is open to kids aged up to 18 who are named on a Commonwealth Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card, and named on a Medicare Card.

Eligible clubs can register now at getactive.vic.gov.au/vouchers.


Sports facilities grants

Applications are open for the 2025-26 Local Sports Infrastructure Fund (LSIF), which creates better places to play, train and compete across Victoria.

The fund has three streams including community facilities, community sports lighting, and planning with councils being able to apply for between $40,000 and $500,000 for projects

Potential projects include new or improved sports courts, lights, change rooms, playgrounds and skate parks, to benefit local clubs and communities.
