Thank you to our
incredible community for
all the love and support.

My darling, one of a kind grandson Jake, you were the centre of our world, but now our world is shattered and you are no longer here.
But all you need to know today is how much love and joy you brought into our lives and brightened every moment.
Though your life was far too short, you were loved completely from the day that you were born, and no one could imagine such a dreadful day would come.
But memories are wonderful and though they still bring us pain, they give us hope and keep us strong until we meet again.
You were and will always be my No 1 Grandson.
Love you Jpeg, forever in my broken heart ... Gma xxx
-
Jake,
There are no words to describe the sorrow we feel at your passing.
We will always keep close to our hearts the happy times we spent with you.
I remember the day you were born and how we rushed to the hospital.
I was so excited to become ‘Aunty Em’.
I remember Mr Stretch and how you would take him everywhere with you.
I remember when you visited us in Perth and the way your dad would proudly carry you around on his shoulders.
Jake you are so loved
by all of us.
Aunty Em, Anth, Evie
and Harrison.
-
In loving memory of Jake.
Thank you for brightening our lives. Though you left us too soon, your love and laughter remain forever etched in our hearts. We will forever miss your smile, your humour, and the joy you brought into our lives. Our hearts are heavy but we will hold you close in our memories forever.
Love Aunty Sophie and Rob.
-
Beautiful Jake,
Our hearts are broken but will slowly mend by keeping our memories of you close.
We will remember you as a baby for the joy and happiness you brought to everyone; we will remember you as a child for your warm and loving heart and we will remember you as you were for your laughter, your smiles and your passion for life.
We love you, Jake.
We miss you, and we always will.
All our love, your Aunty Amy, Uncle Rufus and cousin Olive xxx.
-
Our beautiful Jake,
Your smile, your calmness, your easy-going manner and the way you cared for people has made a difference to all that knew you.
Our hearts are breaking
in grief.
Forever you will be remembered.
Rest peacefully, Jake.
Deepest love from your Grandad and Vicki.

From his besties ‘the boys’
To Jake
Hey mate, it’s only been a couple days but it already feels wrong not having you around the shed.
We’re missing your cheeky grin as you make yourself at home wherever you are.
We’re missing the laughs, the drives, the banter, the tangents and regardless of whether it’s a night out or a night in, as long as you were around we always managed to have a great time.
We look back on our time with you and don’t
regret a second.
We are grateful for
all the memories we’ve
made together.
We’re going to miss you for the rest of our lives and you’ll always have a place in
our hearts.
Love from the boys.
Matt, Bayley, Spencer, Kobe, Archie, Eden and Darcy.
-
Jakey,
What we wouldn’t give to see the top of your beanie emerging from the stairwell along with your ever smiling face – often with the other ‘boys’ in tow – on your regular mission to drag Matt
out of bed.
Whether it be to hit the surf, go swimming out the front, jumping off the boat roof, sunning yourself on the front deck or reigning supreme at table tennis downstairs.
We’d even happily clean up after a cooking extravaganza of bacon and eggs.
Megs, Mark, Mia and Liv, you’re never out of our thoughts and Jake you’re forever in our hearts.
Steph, Mike, Jack, Matt
and Kate xx
-
Fond memories of our time together with Jake during Scouting. Our thoughts are with Jake’s beautiful family and his friends. Rest in peace young man
Sharron, Ian, Rory, Hayden and Toby Marshall.
-
Jake, we are heartbroken that you have gone far too soon, but you have left us with so many happy memories of you over the years.
We will remember watching and coaching you at soccer, especially you trying to manage the goalie gloves!
Driving you and the boys to the beach for a surf, to parties or later to the pub and hearing all of the stories was always entertaining.
You were always the one cooking breakfast in our kitchen for the boys after a night out and we loved that you felt so comfortable in
our home.
You were here to help work on the old caravan, and then also the shed so all of you boys had somewhere to hang out together.
The music was usually your playlist, and you made sure to take the speakers with you when you guys went on “missions” to get food.
You brought a special energy to our home when you
were here.
From the cheeky smile and laugh, to the almost weekly different hairdo and your fashion sense, but most of all your loyalty and friendship
to Bayley.
Jake, you are, and always will be, a loved part of our family and forever missed.
Simon and Narelle.
-
You brought so much joy and happiness to everyone around you, especially
your mum.
I feel so blessed that your beautiful family came into my life three years ago and I had the chance to witness the beautiful crazy love bond your family shared, it was truly something special.
Your life was taken away from you far too soon, but your spirit and your cheeky smile will be forever in
our hearts.
I promise to always be there for your mum and hold her hand through the darkest time she will ever have
to face.
Forever in our thoughts and forever in our hearts.
Rest in peace Jake.
With deepest condolences and all my love Emma Avitabile Xoxo.

I hold so many memories of us close to my heart forever and always.
You were loved and adored by many and will always be remembered as the beautiful man you were. Jake, you were genuinely one of the most kind, loving and caring person I have ever met.
You have gone too soon, we all miss you.
Fly high beautiful angel.
All my love - Jaz J.

-
To Jakey,
You are the purest, kindest, funniest human being.
You give good advice.
Can always make me laugh when I’m down.
Always there for me.
You taught me the meaning of loyalty and sincerity in friendship.
And although you’re way too young I find my only peace in knowing that you were definitely happy.
You don’t have a single regret in your life.
You lived every single day to the fullest and moving forward I aspire to be more like you.
I’m not really sure how to do this without you and I’m going to miss you every single day but I’m so blessed to have gotten to grow up with someone so special in my life, and thank you for letting me be a part of yours.
I love you so much Jake.
Love Yas.
-

for you.
RIP Jake.
With Love Brenton, Ailsa, Sarah, Ed and Abbie Wines.

Jake,
Our paths crossed many times at dinner parties, table tennis was the common thread, you and your mates used to always challenge us oldies to a quick game.
I’ll never forget your words – “I am going to practice taking your spin serves Mr. Rapson”
Rest in peace dear Jake and our sincere condolences to the Munday family.

VALE Jake Munday
2004 – 2023
The CYC Phillip Island Adventure Resort staff community is deeply saddened to lose a much-loved former staff member and eldest son of one of
our team.
As an adventure activity guide, Jake was involved in leading group activities and hosting our school
guest groups.
His smile was contagious and so was his optimistic zest for adventure.
Our hearts are heavy with sorrow for the Munday family – Meg, Mark, Mia
and Liv.
The magnitude of their loss is beyond measure.
We echo the words of Emma, one of our staff members and a close friend of the family.
“Losing a child/brother is an indescribable pain that shakes the very foundations of a family, leaving them shattered and forever changed. In this sad moment, we, as friends, relatives, and a compassionate local community, are committed to standing alongside them, offering love and support through their
unimaginable grief.”
The CYC community offers our deepest condolences.
We are praying for God’s comfort and peace for the family and all those affected by this tragedy.
Please include the Munday family in your prayers.
-
To Mark and Meaghan and Family, our sincere condolences go out to you all.
Jake, although I only knew you from coaching you at soccer over the last couple of years, you certainly made an impression with your skills, along with your kind and gentleman-like nature, you always had time for a chat.
Those that truly got to know you, were the lucky ones.
Rest in Peace Jake.
Love from Andrew, Allison, Alarna and Adam Dean.
-
Meg Mark Mia and Liv,
Words cannot express how saddened we are for you all.
Jake was such a shining star that brightened up the room and made everyone laugh - his smile so infectious.
We are here for you every minute of every day.
Flic and Pete.

Dear Mark, Meaghan,
Mia and Alivia,
Our love and thoughts are with you all during this
tragic time.
Jake’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who

Jake was always the most chill guy wherever he was,
he was always unafraid to
be himself, and he had the most infectious smile
you’d ever seen.
Growing up with him was a privilege I’ll never forget.
I hope you’re having the best time wherever you are Jake.

A beautiful boy.
I always remember your gorgeous drawings.
Thinking of you Meaghan, Mark, Alivia and Mia.
I’ll always remember the little sweet Year 1 Jake.

-
RIP Jake.
Jake was always a pleasure to coach.
Nothing was ever a problem, he was happy to play in any position and had the skills
to match.
During country or state championships, both myself and the other coaches of SAP used to refer to him as
Mr Fixit.
If there was a problem, in a game, we would ask him to fix it, which he always did.
Not just a first-rate player with a first-rate attitude, but a great person too.
The loss of Jake is still raw and incomprehensible but I have no doubt he’s up there kicking a soccer ball around as I write this.
My sincere condolences.
Michael van der Zwet.
-
To one seriously
beautiful soul.
Although forever young, we can all hope you will live the rest of our lives with us, through guidance in making our decisions, in our ability to let silly things go, and enjoy more of life.
To embrace every smile and tear like you’re still here laughing and crying with us.
Finding solace in human connection is where I’ll find you.
Much love in your next life.
We all love you Jakey.
Coco.
-
I met Jake in year two and he played soccer and I thought he was very cool.
So cool, I decided to join the Phillip Island Breakers so I could play soccer with Jake, even though I didn’t really know what soccer was!
I wasn’t as skilled or as confident as Jake when I started, but training and playing with him over the next seven years progressed my skill and boosted my confidence as a defender to the point where our coach nick named me ‘the
brick wall’.
Jake was such a big part of our team’s success.
He was a smooth and skilful player who could anticipate where the ball would go and he was a star in any position on the pitch.
I’m very happy to have played and learnt from Jake and also Mark who helped
coach us.
A few days before the grand final I was lucky to bump into Jake in Cowes and he told me what a great time he had up at the snow.
Thank you to Mark and Meaghan for all the sleepovers when we were little where Jake introduced
me to Halo!
Sending all my love <3
Rory Fuery on behalf of
the Fuery Family.
-
Jake, you were the most incredible, funny, kind hearted person I had
ever met.
I will never forget all the inside jokes we had, all the nights we would laugh, talk and even drive around listening to you sing.
I will always remember how your smile lit up the room, the days we spent on the beach together getting sunburnt and all the times you drove to my house in the morning to sleep next to me in my bed and to hold my hands when I needed comforting.
I will always miss the sound of your laugh, the nicknames you gave me and the little dances you would do to
cheer me up.
Jake, you showed me what love is and were the best friend, and best boyfriend anyone could ever ask for. I’m so lucky to have been loved by you and been able to love you. I was lucky enough to share my best memories with somebody so special.
I will always cherish every memory we made together and I will love you with my entire heart always.
Holli Smith.

I’ve known Jake since I was in year seven when I made the move to Newhaven College from St. Joseph’s
in Wonthaggi.
From year seven to year twelve, Jake and myself spent plenty of time together as we had many classes together over the journey.
I got to know him and realise that he was such a kindhearted person and he was super friendly to me.
We created a bond through those moments and it blended into different people and the connections we made will last a lifetime.
He was always so nice to talk to and we would always talk about music that was coming out or what we got up to on our weekends.
We would always catch up at house parties and his smile would always light the room up, no matter how much
you knew him.
It’s so tragic that we lost him at a young age.
To the Munday family, I pay my greatest condolences to you and hope we give you a massive amount of support to get through this.
To a mate and a brother,
rest easy.
From Hunter Tiziani.

It was a privilege to know Jake through our high school years together at
