Lots of new faces for Village School
As well as welcoming nine new Foundation students, several new staff members have come on board.

Rick Nixon has been a part of the Phillip Island Village School (PIVS) community for several years and has recently come to the end of his teaching degree.
"We're very excited that Rick will be joining us as a Mentor this year. He is passionate about supporting students to build confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning," a school spokesperson said.
"Rick also brings his considerable experience in cooking and hospitality, and his love of the ocean, and looks forward to sharing both these passions in his role."
After helping out at PIVS at the end of 2025, Annie Herde is joining as an Assistant Mentor.
She has experience in environmental management, working with people and is currently studying Education Support.
Kitchen Coordinator, Kelly Berry is going to be at school four days a week this year; three in the kitchen and the fourth in an Assistant Mentor role.
As the school continues to grow, Misty Johns joins the admin team this year.
She brings administration and marketing experience to her role at PIVS, along with a passion for photography and community.
