Marc Marquez leads the way
MotoGP superstar Marc Marquez will lead fans on the ride across the Phillip Island Bridge to the Grand Prix Circuit for the second annual Homecoming Ride.
On Wednesday, October 18, up to 500 fans on motorcycles will meet in San Remo and ride to the circuit, completing a lap before finishing on the main straight, led by the eight-time world champion.
Marc Marquez said he was looking forward to getting on the road with fans before the start of this year’s Australian Grand Prix.
“Phillip Island is a really fun race and the Australian fans have a unique character that I enjoy a lot,” he said.
“It is always nice to meet them and speak with them about the sport. See you on the island!”
Last year’s ride was led by Australia’s Jack Miller and Remy Gardner.
The Homecoming Ride welcomes back the MotoGP, which kicks off on Friday, October 20.
The 2023 Homecoming Ride will start at the Marine Parade car park in San Remo.
Motorcycles will be checked in and scrutineered from 12pm, before a Q&A session with the MotoGP riders.
The riders will set off at approximately 1.30pm.
All riders must have registered to join the Homecoming Ride.
