After a dominant performance during Friday and Saturday's practice sessions, Jorge Martin has comfortably taken pole position ahead of this afternoon's main race.

Prima Pramac Racing’s Jorge Martin has taken pole position for today’s rescheduled MotoGP main race at the Phillip Island Circuit.

The result comes after a strong performance during Friday and Saturday morning’s free practice sessions which pushed him through to Q2.

KTM’s Brad Binder piloted his RC16 to an easy second place on the grid with a time of 1:27.6620 during Q2.

Following on, is Pecco Bagnaia who powered the factory Ducati taking third place on the grid.

Aussie, Jack Miller has qualified eighth ahead of this afternoon.
