Hello Bass Coast Community.

As we farewell the past year and embrace the opportunities that 2024 brings, I wish you all a happy new year with positivity.

I am always thrilled to see the increase of visitors over the summer period to our region.

Our region’s charm and natural beauty draws visitors from near and far, contributing to the growth and vibrancy of our local economy. I extend my thanks to the businesses and residents who warmly welcomed these guests, creating an atmosphere of hospitality that leaves a lasting impression.

Looking ahead, the new year promises even more exciting events and opportunities for us to come together as a community. Keep your eye on our website and social media channels to get involved in events happening throughout the year.

This year, I hope we can all shape the future together. We have some significant investment and plans for our region and I encourage you to actively engage with Council on various projects that will shape the future of our beloved region.

Our Engage Bass Coast website serves as a platform for you to voice your opinions, share ideas, and actively participate in decisions that will impact our community. Your input is invaluable, and I look forward to seeing the positive changes we can achieve when working together. The Engage Bass Coast website provides updates on current projects and is a great place to stay up to date with what infrastructure is being upgraded or built.

Understanding the needs and priorities of our community is of upmost importance to myself, Councillors and Council staff. I hope you will get involved and play a part in determining how our region is moving forward. There will be many opportunities to do this over the coming year and we will do our very best to make your voice count.

Wishing you all a prosperous and fulfilling New Year.
