Phillip Island's old Health Hub building has had a funding boost from the State Government, receiving $58,215 in funding under the latest round of the Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Capital Renewal Fund.
Bayside Health Regional Care Group will use the money to upgrade the security infrastructure of the Phillip Island Health Hub building to integrate with the new facility, creating a single connected system.
Works include the installation of new security and duress systems with full backup and connectivity, along with provision of Spectra telephones to support AOD service workers.
"Victorians living with mental health or AOD issues deserve care and support and we know how important it is for our community to be able to access this specialist care close to where they live," said Member for Bass, Jordan Crugnale.
"We are committed to improving mental health and AOD services in the Bass Coast."
