Midweek teams event finals
This week's bridge results.
Twelve pairs competed in the duplicate competition on Monday, September 25.
In first place for North/South were Deborah Anglim and Greg Nicholson on 53 per cent followed in second by Neville Chapman and Lorrie Reed on 51.50 per cent.
A whisker behind in third were Diane Coleman and Karen Klym on 51.0 per cent.
Cathie Beenie and Miranda Sage took first place for East/West on 54 per cent with Anne Gibson and Robert McClellan coming in second on 52.50 per cent.
Third were Clare and Jim Murphy on 52 per cent.
Wednesday saw the final of the two-week mid-week teams’ event.
In first place: Team 7 comprising of Deborah Anglim, Greg Nicholson, Lorrie Red and John Farr.
Second place: Team 3 featuring Hannah Martin, Maureen Stiles, Ruth Stevenson and Penny Loughran.
In third: Team 4 made up of Diane Coleman, Moya Crowley, Jill Short and Marion Wellwood.
