Health

The Women's Health Mobile Clinic (known as Nina) is set to visit Phillip Island from May 13 - 29.

Since launching a year ago, Nina has visited 19 towns across the state.
Delivered in partnership with BreastScreen Victoria, Nina is staffed by an all-female team.

Appointments are free and run for 45 minutes, with no referral needed.

The team provides care across every life stage, including:

• cervical and bowel screening

• STI testing

• contraception

• abortion care

• support for pelvic pain, bladder health, menstruation, perimenopause and menopause.

In a recent evaluation women said they loved that the service included specialist women's health expertise, longer consults, confidentiality and care closer to home at no cost.

Service

You can book a free 45-minute appointment with a nurse to talk about your sexual and reproductive health, general wellbeing, and get important health checks like cervical and bowel screening.

This service is available to women of all ages and teenagers.

What you can discuss with the nurse: contraception, including long-acting options such as IUDs and Implanon; pregnancy options counselling; sexually transmitted infections; cervical and bowel screening; menstruation; pelvic pain; perimenopause and menopause; bladder concerns; irregular bleeding; and any other women's health issue.

If you need to see a doctor, specialist, or another service, the nurse can help guide you and provide referrals.

If you require any assistance, such as an interpreter or mobility support, please let them know when you book your appointment.
