More hogging the Rhyll ramp
Further concerns from local boaties about yachts overstaying at Rhyll.
Following last week’s Advertiser article on visiting sailors “hogging” Rhyll ramp for “leisure stays”, comes further concerns by local boaties.
One ramp user sent in this photo of two yachts parked on the pontoon all day last Thursday.
“I lodged a parking complaint with the council about the yachts overstaying,” the user said.
A shire spokeswoman said staff undertake routine inspections of the ramp and also responded to community reports.
Anglers are eagerly awaiting to see whether action is taken.
Rhyll Angling Club president Albert Abram said club members were concerned some were “unfairly hogging” the facilities for “leisure stays”, with boats tied up to the ramp that “can sleep up to a dozen people – more like floating apartments”.
