Aware Parenting Discussion Group

Jemma Howard (Paediatric Occupational Therapist at The Tessellating Hub) and Sarah Jury (Myli Library) are the facilitators in this co-created space.

This month's theme is: Healing stress and trauma through connection, laughter and play.

Creating a safe space where parents can explore parenting styles, how they want to parent and the theories of aware parenting.

“We will encourage listening and sharing of real lived experience from the group,” said a MYLI spokesperson.

“We will create a village of like-minded parents in a safe and supportive place, where we can encourage each other through the parenting journey.”

Baby Massage at San Remo Library

Learn baby massage in a friendly, relaxed and non-judgmental atmosphere at San Remo Library, as part of the MYLI Mothers in May initiative.

Louise Norton, Midwife and Masters in Applied Science (Acupuncture) from Life Naturally will share this beneficial practice for mothers and babies.

Life Naturally was born from Louise’s passion to work with women to feel the best they can during pregnancy and to be prepared for birth and early parenting.

"Parents are discovering that massage can help their child settle, sleep better, reduce crying and relieve problems such as wind, colic, constipation, reflux and eczema,” said Louise.

“It even helps reduce post-natal depression.

“Research has also found that caregivers feel more confident, less stressed and felt a closer bond with their baby after learning infant massage.

“Baby Massage is more than just relaxation. Learning the right massage techniques is vital to ensure that both you and your baby experience the many benefits that massage can provide."

Sleep Consultant Parents Chat @ San Remo Library

Join Carly from Carly's Sleep Angels for a casual chat all about sleep. She will introduce new parents to a sleep consultant and how they can help you and your child get the sleep you crave.

Carly’s Angels offers personalised plans to support your child in developing a healthy sleep routine.

“We don’t rely on a ‘cry it out’ method. We believe in providing a safe and secure environment for your child while they adjust to their new schedule,” said Carly.

“We have a range of strategies that can be easily put in place and will be with you every step of the way.”
