Need help finding staff? Join the Hospitality roundtable
A roundtable meeting on December 10, see if a localised training program will help meet peak hospitality staffing demands.
Calling all local hospitality businesses.
Mas National and the Gippsland Local Jobs Program are holding a Bass Coast Hospitality roundtable to see if a localised training program will help meet peak staffing demand in the industry.
The roundtable will be held on Zoom on Tuesday, December 14 from 10am-11am.
The roundtable hopes to identify if localised training is needed to meet the peak staffing demand.
It will also be an opportunity to discuss staffing needs with local employment service providers, to provide applicants for hospitality roles available in the region.
Discussions will include:
- Is there any mandatory training that needs to be completed by jobseekers for available roles?
- If there is training required, what training needs to be completed?
- If there is no training requirement, what is the preferred method for jobseekers to apply?
- Would your business be interested in providing input to shape future hospitality in 2022?
The session will include live polling in Zoom to ensure that feedback can be provided by all attendees.
Local Employment Service providers will be in attendance at the session, to give a brief overview of their service and current suitable jobseeker numbers in the region.
At the conclusion of this session a list of roles available and contact details will be collated and sent to Employment Service providers. There will also be a list of direct contact details for Employment Service providers sent to employers.
If you are able to attend on the day please RSVP to Chantal.mills@gippslandfacilitator.org.au by COB Friday, December 10.
If you are unable to attend but would like to have your current roles and contact details shared please also e-mail Chantal.
