Access interrupted to Penguin Parade on Thursday
1 min read

There will be interrupted daytime access to the Penguin Parade car park, boardwalks and Summerland Beach on Thursday October 16 between 7am and 4.30pm due to planned works on the boardwalk redevelopment.

Anyone visiting the area is asked to follow the directions of Nature Parks staff who will be on site.

"A helicopter will be operating in the area during this period to lift materials into place with all works overseen by qualified wildlife officers and guided by sensitive methodology to ensure the surrounding wildlife and habitat is protected," a Nature Parks spokesperson said.

The Penguin Parade Visitor Centre will be open to the public from 5pm. There is no impact on the nightly Penguin Parade.

Public amenities on Summerland Peninsula are available at Shellys Beach and Flynns Beach.

Visitors can still access other Nature Parks attractions including the Koala Conservation Reserve (10am-5.30pm) and Churchill Island (10am-5pm).

Please note, the Nobbies Centre, cafe, toilets, car park and boardwalks are closed.
