Anerie takes the Movember challenge
1 min read

There’s more than a touch of moustache twirling happening at Anerie in Cowes this month.

The team at the popular restaurant have taken up the Movember challenge to raise awareness and money for men’s health issues, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men’s suicide.

The comradery and friendship of the team was evident as we spoke to them about their involvement in the Movember annual event.

“We feel we’re good men and if we can help other men start even just one conversation it’s got to be a good thing,” said Jordan Larkman.

“Especially after Covid I’ve had mates that have suffered from mental health issues so this is a good cause to get behind and is just a small thing we can do to help.”

Anerie owner Chris is right behind the initiative, and the boys are grateful for her support, saying “she’s the best boss ever and always inspires us to do big things”.

Jordan who rallied the team is not new to doing silly things in the name of charity, shaving his head several years ago to raise $3000 for the Leukaemia Foundation.

Despite the seriousness of the cause the boys are becoming a little competitive with it all.

Head chef Thomas Balbiano is winning so far apparently just a whisker over Nick Jaelleff.

The other say the two have an unfair advantage as they have dark hair!
