Calling all young artists and water heroes
1 min read

Westernport Water is eagerly awaiting entries for this year's National Water Week Poster Competition from local children that attend kindergartens and primary schools in the area.

The competition provides a great opportunity for students to put their artistic creativity to the test by creating a colourful A3 poster that celebrates the National Water Week (NWW) theme, "Water Heroes: Save Every Drop".

Westernport Water said this year's theme highlights the importance of protecting our water resources by saving every drop and encourages students to see themselves as everyday heroes - people who make small, positive choices that add up to big impacts.

"Whether it's turning off the tap, having short showers, or spreading awareness, every action helps," Westernport Water's General Manager of Corporate and Community, Gareth Kennedy.

"We are excited to receive the entries for this year's competition. Our staff look forward to seeing what students create and participate by voting for their favourite posters each year."

There are great individual and school prizes up for grabs, and local winners will also be entered into the state-wide poster competition and judged against winners of other regions for even greater prizes.

Entries close 5pm Friday September 12. Winners will be announced during National Water Week, October 17-23.
