Carers grants

Applications are open for the 2025 Connecting Carers in their Community program, with more than $760,000 in funding available.

The program offers grants of up to $25,000 and carer support groups, community health services, councils, neighbourhood houses and other grassroots organisations are encouraged to apply, especially those supporting carers in regional and rural areas.

Victorian Tree of the Year

Nominations for the 2025 Victorian Tree of the Year are now open.

To be eligible for the Victorian Tree of the Year, a nominated tree must be listed on the National Trusts of Australia Register of Significant Trees.

Nominations close Sunday August 31.

Nominate at: www.nationaltrust.org.au/treeoftheyear. Each submission should include details about the tree and a description of why it deserves the title of

2025 Victorian Tree of the Year. 

A short list will be compiled, and public voting will take place online from September 23 to October 23.


Veterans support grants

Applications are open for two grant programs that honour veterans, support their welfare and strengthen community recognition of their contribution.

The Anzac Day Proceeds Fund offers grants of up to $150,000 to organisations delivering welfare support to veterans across the state, and grants of up to

$50,000 to organisations delivering initiatives for veterans in a specific region or area.  

The Victoria Remembers Grant Program offers grants of up to $30,000 for projects that commemorate veterans and deepen public understanding of their

service, including new memorials, significant anniversary events and public education campaigns.
