Fundraiser

The Bass Coast Community Foundation held its Gala Dinner on Saturday, July 26 at Silverwater Resort.

Guests enjoyed a gourmet dinner and an inspiring keynote speech from Beau Vernon, a champion whose journey changed his life, the lives of his community, and the audiences who listened to his story of opportunity and optimism.

Throughout the evening, the Foundation's accomplishments were showcased, presenting opportunities for guests to make a lasting difference through donations and sponsorships.

Brett Tessari volunteered his services as auctioneer and had the whole room laughing, cheering and egging on the bidders.

The success of the fundraiser will allow the foundation to continue the financial literacy programs Centsible Teen Talk and the adult related Centsible program developed and delivered by local experts Rebecca Casey and Jackie Newman.

The adult program will be run at Bass Coast Adult Learning in Wonthaggi.

Foundation Executive Office Deb Watson thanked the guests, sponsors and donors, whose support helped raise funds to "continue to run this invaluable program".
