The Cowes Yacht Club is offering two new membership options, as well as waiving its usual joining fees, for new members who sign up prior to Christmas. Commodore Andrew Janson said the club was a brilliant place to relax and enjoy some of the island’s best views.
The Cowes Yacht Club is marking the completion of significant facility upgrades by extending two special membership offers to the local community for the 2025–26 summer season.
Cowes Yacht Club long known as more than just a sailing hub, has become one of Phillip Island’s most popular spots for kayaks, fishing, stand up paddleboarding and a great social venue.
It hosts regular catered dinners, happy hours, trivia nights, family BBQs, kids’ movie sessions and other community events.
Set on what is arguably the most scenic and convenient site in Cowes, the club has just had a major refresh including additions of kids rooms, pool tables, new furniture and BBQ areas, meaning there is now room for more members to take advantage of the club.
Residents and holidays makers can choose between two options: a “two for one” membership, allowing two singles or two families to join for the price of one, or “two years for the price of one” for new members who join prior to Christmas.
The club is also waiving its usual joining fee for both offers.
Commodore Andrew Janson said the club offers a welcoming atmosphere for all ages.
“Cowes Yacht Club isn’t just about sailing, it’s a brilliant place to relax, enjoy Phillip Island’s best views, or have a drink at our fully stocked bar, where local Ocean Reach beer is our best seller,” he said.
“The two-for-one deal is perfect for neighbours, friends, or families who want a shared space in a great community.”
The club is home to an active sailing calendar, training programs, and major regattas. Members have access to more than 10 club boats, suitable for beginners through to seasoned sailors.
Limited storage space is also available for off-the-beach and trailable yachts, powerboats, jetskis, stand-up paddleboards, and kayaks.
Memberships start from as low as $225 for a two-year single-person package.
Sailing training programs are again running at the club over the 2025-26 summer in early January, so if you are interested in taking up either of these offers or just starting by learning to sail then email the club for more information.
