The Harmony Bells in the Cowes Town Square have been stolen.
The heavy bronze bells, created by renown sculpture Dr Anton Hassell have been in the centre of Cowes since 2012 and feature artwork that represents the sea, as well as the waves of people who come and go from Phillip Island.
Bass Coast Shire Council is asking anyone with information to contact the Police Assistance Line on 131 444.
