1 min read

MotoGP fever is building on the island, as the roar of motorbikes echoed through the streets.

Today's Homecoming Ride from San Remo to the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit was lead by fan favourite and two-time MotoGP World Champion, Casey Stoner, who famously conquered the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit for six consecutive years from 2007 to 2012.

Accompanying Stoner was the biggest contingent of championship riders in Homecoming history, including Australia's Jack Miller, as well as two-time MotoGP World Champion Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia, cand Enea Bastianini. Adding even more international muscle is Marco Bezzecchi, alongside the next generation of homegrown talent - Senna Agius, Joel Kelso and Jacob Roulstone.

The new route saw the riders travel into Cowes and along Settlement Road, before turning into Thompson Avenue and heading for the circuit.

Hundreds of excited fans got to share the road with their heroes, driving through the streets of Cowes before doing two laps at the iconic circuit.

Crowds lined the streets of Cowes to greet the riders, with motorcycle fans young and old enjoying the spectacle.
