A concept design for the northern end of the Fred Gration Reserve in Coronet Bay has been developed and is open for comment until May 4.
In 2023, a Master Plan was developed for the Reserve in consultation with the community and this design follows on from the plan.
The concept features a barbeque, shelter and drinking fountain, new playspace, multi-use court, accessible pathways and parking, seating, landscaping and shade trees, improved drainage, and a shelter and shed in the community garden.
Bass Coast Mayor Cr Rochelle Halstead was excited to see the designs for the reserve.
"With so many families moving to the area, I'm so excited to see plans for this reserve that include a bigger and better playspace and room for ball sports but also a gathering spot for picnics and barbeques where families and friends can spend time together," Cr Halstead said.
"While these plans are very exciting, we want to hear from you to see if we've got it right. So let us know through this consultation what you like, what you love and also what might need changing or something we might've missed."
Consultation is now open, and you can have your say online.
You can view all the plans online and there's also two surveys to complete; one for young people aged under 18 and one for adults. Details at engage.basscoast.vic.gov.au/cbreserve.
Consultation closes Sunday May 4.
