Over the spring and summer months, the vibrant outdoor market 'On the Lawn' is coming to the grounds of Newhaven Primary School.

The growers and makers market will kick off with a special Melbourne Cup weekend market on Sunday, November 3, from 9am to 2pm.

Then from November through to February, the regular market will run on the third Sunday of every month.

Under the eucalypt trees and alongside the playground is where locals mingle, and visitors are welcome.

This new outdoor market showcases growers and food producers, locally handmade art and design-based products such as ceramics and pottery, works on paper, jewellery and silversmithing, textiles and apparel makers.

'On the Lawn' Market supports Newhaven Primary School and funds raised will go towards some new play equipment for the kids, and a cover for their bike shelter.

The school looks forward to seeing the broader community at its first market on Melbourne Cup weekend, Sunday November 3, 9am — 2pm at 12-22 School Avenue, Newhaven.
