A jobs expo will be held in Cowes on October 4 at St John's Uniting Church from 9.30am - 2.30pm.
Businesses and would-be employees are encouraged to take part in a Phillip Island Jobs Expo and a range of events through October.
The events will focus on filling job vacancies for businesses, showcasing local career pathways, providing networking opportunities for business owners, and skills development for staff or potential staff.
A physical jobs board will also be available to display local vacancies, to help connect with employers who are unable to attend on the day, or who have one or two vacancies.
Bass Coast Shire, with the Australian Government’s Local Jobs Program, South Gippsland Bass Coast Local Learning and Employment Network and the state government’s Skills and Jobs Centre will be hosting the events.
Aside from the Cowes job expo, there will also be an expo at Wonthaggi, as well as a special Business Breakfast where local businesses are invited to join Catherine Bell, from the Bell Training Group to learn about creativity in recruitment and creating a workplace of choice.
