
A visual impact study found ships transporting upright turbines - up to 200 metres tall - would be "highly visible and visually dominant" from the Cowes jetty, heading out to the wind turbine zone 190 nautical miles off Western Port. They would be visible for 30-45 minutes, once every seven to 10 days. Inward shipping movements will be less noticeable as they will be lying down.
