Phillip Island Nature Parks is set to open round two of its Community Giving Program offering support for local not-for-profit, volunteer, community and school groups across Bass Coast.
Applications for the second round of community giving are open from October 1 until November 30.
Each year, the Nature Parks commits funds and in-kind support as a way of 'giving back' to the Phillip Island community.
Community Engagement Officer Kimberley Dunstan said the Nature Parks values its connection to the Bass Coast community and is committed to giving back through sponsoring projects and events that align with the organisation's strategic objectives and values.
"The community is a key stakeholder and partner in our conservation achievements, and through this program we aim to support incorporated community groups, management committees, volunteer groups and schools, to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes," Ms Dunstan said.
"We invite applications for sponsorship for events and projects that support the Bass Coast community, educate and raise awareness about nature, conservation and sustainability, and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures."
The Nature Parks has been a long-term supporter of local organisations, charities and events across Bass Coast.
In round one of the program earlier this year, the Nature Parks provided sponsorship and donations across a range of conservation and community initiatives and fundraising events including Arts Society Phillip Island Region Inc, Island Story Gatherers Inc, Phillip Island Landcare, Corinella and District Community Centre, Shades of Pink - Phillip Island Football Netball Club, Wonthaggi Power Football Club, Gippsland Wrens Basketball, Phillip Island Scout Group, and various local schools.
