The doors of the Free 3D Hands factory in Newhaven will open to the public on Friday April 17.

From 10am to 4pm, people will have the opportunity to see how Free 3D Hands use 3D printing to create assistive devices for people, including live printer demos and learning how the devices are designed and delivered.

There is also the chance to meet founder Mat Bowtell.

Free 3D Hands has provided assistive devices to thousands of people in over 50 countries.

Through sharing their designs under open-source licenses, there are over 10,000 volunteers and organisations around the world now making their designs to create an exponential impact.

The charity relies entirely on donations to fund the design and development of open-source assistive devices without any government funding.

All donations go directly towards the research, design and development of open-source assistive devices which are provided free to those in need.

To find out more about Free 3D Hands or to make a donation, go to: free3dhands.org/
