Open Morning draws crowd to College
Newhaven College’s 83-acre campus was on full display as the College hosted its annual Open Morning this month.

Hundreds of prospective parents and students visited throughout the morning and the event also welcomed alumni from the graduating classes of 1986, 1996, 2006 and 2016 for their special reunion.
Open Morning
Student leaders guided family groups around campus with the College while visitors enjoyed performances by the Junior and Middle School choirs.
Children made little wooden cars at the Product and Design Trade Centre, sampled delicious treats at the Food Tech Centre and there were fun activities such as “Science you can eat” – making ice cream with liquid nitrogen.
Budding artists made clay sculptures in the Specialist Wing while visitors saw some of the school’s top performers in the Performing Arts Wing.
Other highlights included the MTB Bike Academy students displaying their skills, the Tennis Academy, the Equestrian display and the football and netball practice matches between Phillip Island and Mount Evelyn, showcasing the College’s sporting facilities.r
The Admissions Team fielded questions about enrolments and scholarships throughout the morning, as visitors learned about the college’s house structure, pastoral care and academic programs.

Reunion
The school was delighted to welcome back alumni from the classes of 1986 (40 years), 1996 (30 years), 2006 (20 years), and 2016 (10 years).
They gathered for morning tea in the Senior School, reconnecting with long-term staff before embarking on a guided tour of the campus with Director of Learning, Mrs Karen Milkins-Hendry.
