Meet our new community connections reporter, Steph Thornborrow.
A community newspaper is about much more than hard news and issues affecting our residents.
It’s about what’s happening with our people, organisations, sporting clubs and individuals.
It’s new babies being welcomed, special milestone birthdays being celebrated. It’s capturing all the ways our community comes together to celebrate, commemorate and support each other.
The Covid restrictions of the past six months have had a profound impact on our community. As we gradually re-emerge from lockdown, we’re looking forward to reconnecting with you all and seeing community news return to the pages of the paper.
To help with this, we’re thrilled to announce that island resident Steph Thornborrow is joining the Advertiser team.
Steph will be our community connections reporter and you can expect to see her out and about in the coming months, capturing life on the island and in San Remo, hearing your opinions and documenting your achievements.
