According to Bass Coast Shire Council, there are more Jack Russell Terriers than any other breed in Bass Coast.

And on the cat side of things, Domestic Short Hair tops the list.

There are 9354 pets registered with Council and we’re a canine-loving community, as 7446 of those are dogs!

In news that is sure to thrill dog owners there are now 13 dog poo dispensers across the shire, with four of those on Phillip Island and another in San Remo.

There is a QR code on the dispensers so you can simply scan the code to let council know if the dispenser is empty.
