Packs to soothe isolation blues

Many local families have endured 14 days in isolation, after visiting one of the 19 Tier1 exposure sites across Phillip Island and San Remo.

After Cowes Primary School was notified that a number of their families were caught up in the Covid scare,  staff swung into action, putting together wellbeing packs to send to the affected families.

“Spending 14 days at home would be tough, especially with young children,” said Principal Rod McKenzie.

The wellbeing packs included food, treats, games, mindful colouring books and many other little bits which aimed to provide a surprise and boost spirits. 

“The families were very appreciative and many sent through photos of children with big smiles,” Rod said.
