Motion to address parking issues on the island was defeated at the Bass Coast Shire Council May meeting.

In his notice of motion to address parking issues on the island, Cr Bauer criticised "inefficient use" of car parks at boat ramps, saying the bays for cars with trailers were empty except for a few days of the year, while cars had to park in surrounding streets.
