Ratepayer advocates say they are “horrified” parking sensors will be rolled out in Cowes with no public consultation or council vote, agreeing it will be a “major revenue raiser”.

With the upcoming rollout of parking sensors in Cowes, enforcement officers will no longer have to walk the street and chalk tyres. “Wireless technology tells them when and where an infringement has occurred. Easier and more efficient, hence more revenue,” says one ratepayer advocate.
