PRH Australia partners with the Penguin Foundation

Penguin Random House (PRH) Australia has announced a partnership with the Phillip Island Nature Parks Penguin Foundation.

The partnership is part of PRH’s commitment to supporting conservation and environmental initiatives.

PRH will be providing funding to the Penguin Foundation that will be used for Little Penguin research projects that contributes to their protection, rescue and rehabilitation.

The Penguin Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that raises funds to protect and enhance Phillip Island’s natural environment through research, conservation and education programs carried out by Phillip Island Nature Parks.

"At PRH, we have a strong focus on sustainability and green initiatives so we feel this partnership was a perfect fit for us,” said Julie Burland, CEO of Penguin Random House Australia and New Zealand.

“The work the Foundation does to look after the 40,000 Little Penguins is incredible and we are very proud to be a part of it. And of course, we just happen to be particularly fond of Penguins.”

Georgia Symmons, Executive Officer of the Penguin Foundation, said as well as sharing the name penguin, working together was a perfect fit.

“This partnership supports research and conservation projects which make a difference to Little Penguins, threatened wildlife and the ecosystem that surround and sustain them on Phillip Island.

“With partnerships like these, we are helping to protect our unique environment for future generations.”
