Phillip Island hosts Victorian Junior Titles

The Victorian Junior Surfing Titles were held on Phillip Island on the weekend, with competition taking place at Cape Woolamai and then moving to Smiths Beach to escape a fresh onshore wind.

With protection from the wind, the finals were run in well-shaped two-to-three-foot onshore surf.

Under 18s girls winner was Sarsha Pancic (Blairgowrie), with the Under 18 boys taken out by Willis Droomer (Jan Juc).

In the other rounds the winners included Jay Phipps (Pt Lonsdale, Under 16 Boys), Sophie Wilkinson (Mornington Peninsula, Under 16 Girls), Billie Cook (13th Beach, Under 14 Girls) & Jarvis Barrow (Jan Juc, Under 14 Boys).

Phillip Island competitors included Blake Green and Tate Russell.

In the past month, Phillip Island has hosted the Phillip Island Pro, the Victorian Open and the Victorian Longboard titles.
