Screening on Tuesday, June 21 at 8.30pm on ABC TV, Southern Ocean Live will broadcast from the Penguin Parade, with hosts Hamish Macdonald (pictured) and Dr Ann Jones crossing live to special guests. The program features an array of incredible creatures, including our own little penguins.

A new ABC TV show - Southern Ocean Live is broadcasting live from Phillip Island next Tuesday.

Screening on Tuesday, June 21 at 8.30pm on ABC TV, it will beam live from "Southern Ocean Live HQ" at the Penguin Parade. Hosts Hamish Macdonald and Dr Ann Jones will cross live to special guests and feature an array of incredible creatures, including our own little penguins.

Marine scientists Sheree Marris, Lucas Handley and Dr Dean Miller will be reporting from under the water, telling the remarkable stories creatures great and small ... from giant spider crabs and giant cuttlefish through to whales, dolphins, seals, albatross and great white sharks.

So if you see camera crews roaming the island, you'll know exactly why.

Southern Ocean Live (1x90mins), Tuesday June 21, 8.30pm on ABC TV and ABC iView.

Dr Ann Jones returns to the screen the following week on June 28 at 8.30pm with Meet the Penguins, exploring the world of the little penguins, both on the island, and their St Kilda city cousins.

Southern Ocean Live is made by the same team that brought Reef Live to ABC screens.
