PICAL’s Christmas dates and service
PICAL is now operating from its new premises at 16 Warley Avenue, with limited services operating over the holiday period.

The Phillip Island Community and Learning Centre has finished the year in new premises at Warley Avenue.

The move has meant the traditional PICAL Christmas hampers did not happen this year, and the Christmas Day lunch usually held at St Philip’s Anglican Church is also not going ahead.

However Centre Manager Greg Thompson said donations to the Food Pantry were very welcome.

“The Christmas/New Year holiday period is a time when there is increased demand on PICAL’s Food Relief Pantry, and particularly this year with increased costs of living putting extra pressure on household finances,” he said.

“So if anyone has any capacity to donate cash and/or spare packaged food products (which are still within their use-by dates), we will gratefully accept these donations.”

PICAL services will still operate across the festival season.

  • Services Australia Agency: 9am – 2pm each weekday (except public holidays)
  • Food Relief Pantry: 10am – 2pm each weekday (except public holidays)
  • PICAL Reception limited service only

PICAL’s normal range of services will resume again on Monday, January 9.

Mr Thompson said the entire team of PICAL sent season’s greetings to the community and was looking forward to welcoming people at the new premise.
